A23 Equestrian Underpass at Handcross Begins to Take Shape

This mid-August photo shows the foundations for the western half of the equestrian subway which will allow horse access under the carriageways.
The service road (which will have horse access) between the Warninglid roundabout and the underpass is completed. The path will then continue on the western side of the road, through the trees behind the balancing pond and on to Slaugham. This should be done by Jan 2014. The path alongside the Handcross slip road which will link the northern end of bridleway Slaugham 7 and Coos Lane is targeted for completion right at the end of the works – Autumn 2014.
